This giveaway is now closed. Thank you to all those who entered.
First DVD giveaway for 2014 is Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor, with thanks to the wonderful people at Roadshow Entertainment. I’m trying something a little different this time. It’s a random draw, but with the opportunity to gain extra entries. Curious? Read on…
Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor is the rather wonderful 50th anniversary special that screened in November last year (see my review). It’s a spectacular episode with more than one Doctor… so I thought I’d give people more than one chance to win a copy.
To be in the running for one of three copies of Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor, simply send an email with the words DAY OF THE DOCTOR in the subject line, to: firstname.lastname@example.org You can only enter once in this way. BUT…
You can get some extra entries into the draw by helping me promote my YouTube video “A Letter to Steven Moffat”. Tweet it, put it on FaceBook, blog it, whatever! Each time you link to it you can have an extra entry into the draw. But there are some rules…
- Only one entry per location… you can’t Tweet it 50 times and get 50 entries. You can get one entry for Twitter and another for FaceBook, etc. That is, one entry per social media. Or one entry per blog or website.
- You need to tell me about it. Send me an email with links to where you’ve put the video.
Okay… I know this is a bit of an experiment. And it may fail. Perhaps no one will care and no one will link to the video. But I am hopeful. So hopeful, in fact, that there is a fourth copy of the DVD, which will be given to the person who gives the video the most links. In the unlikely occurrence that there are multiple people with the same number of links, there will be a random draw between them for that DVD. All clear?
Now, on to the boring details. The competition closes at 5pm (Melb time) on Friday 17 January 2014. You must be an Australian resident with an Australian postal address to enter. After the winners are announced, no correspondence on the matter will be entered into. Got that? Good! Winners will be announced in the comments section of this post.
And let’s not forget the video.
This video was recorded on Wednesday 13 November 2013 at the Melbourne Library Service’s event “Not Quite the Big Finish: An Evening of Doctor Who Spoken Word”.
Catch ya later, George
