I’ve always had an interest in script writing, be it for film, television or the stage. My interest is great, but my experience is minimal!
In June 2000, I completed an RMIT short course, Screenwriting – Introduction, taught by Dr Lisa Dethridge.
Below is some information on scripts I have written that have actually progressed somewhere beyond my own computer. I have written others that are gathering metaphoric dust on my hard-drive.
Stage
Happily Ever After
This is a short play of about 10 minutes. It’s a drama about infertility and the desire for children.
It was originally written as an entry into the Short & Sweet Festival. It was short listed for the 2005 Melbourne Short & Sweet Festival. Unfortunately it didn’t make the final cut.
It has since had a re-write and was accepted for Cabaret Voltair’s Short Shorts season. It was performed in November 2008 at the Australian Centre Of Performing Arts as part of a set of short plays and monologues directed by Rhyannon Grace, called Moment In Time.
Facilitation
This is a short play of about 10 minutes. It’s a drama about life and death and regret… and it’s rather hard to describe.
